The Cultural Medallion is Singapore’s highest artistic accolade, recognising individuals whose artistic excellence have enriched and distinguished Singapore’s arts and cultural landscape.
Our Cultural Medallion Story celebrates achievements these award recipients—visitors are invited to learn about how the Cultural Medallion began, the inspirations driving the recipients and delve into each of their creative journeys.
Embracing the ‘Phygital’ (physical plus digital) concept, this gallery seamlessly blends both elements to create a truly interactive experience. The exhibit features a variety of physical and digital showcases, such as the Cultural Medallion Coin and Near-Field Communication (NFC) token. Designed to foster community connections and support the local arts scene, the blend of material and virtual displays effectively engages visitors of all ages. By offering creative learning opportunities across various mediums, the exhibition also spotlights the fluidity of art through history.
