"Bringing play into a historic setting with creativity and care."

At the National Museum of Singapore, play meets heritage in the museum’s first intergenerational playground that invites visitors of all ages to explore together. Situated near the Front Lawn and framed by protected heritage trees, the space was imagined as a lively extension of the museum—where discovery continues beyond the galleries.

Designed by the Magical Bridge Foundation (USA), with RSP Architects as the architectural consultant, the playground encourages imaginative play and safe exploration. Every feature was created with inclusivity in mind, ensuring all children can enjoy the play experience, while also creating moments of rest and connection for families.
As the appointed technical design and build partner, our scope included the design of interpretive signages, environmental graphics; and construction of custom play structures and resting pavilions.
During on-site works, adaptations were made to ensure safety and durability. These included resizing, relocating, and modifying components to avoid conflicts with underground utilities. All works were carried out in compliance with Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) standards.

With soothing colours chosen to complement the museum’s historic façade, the playground not only functions as a vibrant and safe play space but also as a picturesque spot for families and visitors to gather.
The result is a harmonious blend of history and inclusivity—an outdoor experience that invites families to pause, play, and create new memories together, set against the timeless backdrop of the National Museum of Singapore.
