Step into the newly redesigned and renovated Asian Art and Culture Resource Centre, within the halls of the National Palace Museum's Southern Library. Spearheaded by the visionary team at SPACElogic Taiwan, this remarkable transformation has breathed new life into space, creating a captivating sanctuary that pays homage to the timeless artistry of the renowned Zhang Daqian.
"Traditional ink, a quintessential element in landscape artworks, was a key focal point in the design conceptualization, with imagery strategically utilized to illustrate the emotional depth and unique painting style of Daqian’s later-life landscape creations."
Drawing inspiration from the iconic Lushan painting by the revered artist, our designers chose to shine spotlight on Traditional ink, a quintessential element in landscape artworks—integrating these stunning depictions of mountains and rivers into the bookshelves and furnishings. The result is a visually distinct environment that impeccably blends the timeless elegance of Chinese art with a contemporary sensibility.
